The Area Manager directs and manages branch activities to achieve assigned goals. They maintain branch staffing levels to effectively satisfy customer demands. Additionally, they ensures branch personnel achieve or exceed minimum expectations for performance in their specific positions through effective coaching and development.
Area Managers actively participate in the company's decision making processes. They oversee the implimentation and support of the company's decisions in the branch looking for, and taking advantage of, opportunities to improve operations and add value to the business.
The Area Manager will also be required to:
Obtain and maintain appropriate State pest control license(s).
Obtain and maintain all McCloud service credentials as outlined within the McCloud Service Specialist compensation program (including but not limited to NPMA Food Plant, NPMA Green Pro, Copesan Signature Care, and Serv-Safe. CDL & HAZMAT endorsement as required by management).
Safely operate a motor vehicle.
Enter/Exit structures and crawl spaces; ascend and descend stairs/ladders, stand/walk for long periods, crouch, crawl, kneel, stoop, bend, stretch, reach, hold, grasp, push/pull.
Climb over and on top of structures, including attics/roofs, occasionally working at heights or in confined spaces.
Visually inspect for pests, pest harborages / entries, etc.
Wear and/or use OSHA mandated personal protective equipment.
Use application equipment, inspection equipment, small hand tools, small power tools, and computer equipment.
Tolerate various environmental/weather conditions, including cold/snow, heat/humidity, and dust/dampness.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Minimum two years supervisory experience in pest control organization with a demonstraed background of successful business growth, budget management, and employee relations. Similar experience in other route/service fields will be considered.
High school diploma or equivalent.
U.S. citizen or alien authorized to work in the United States.
Able to work before 8 AM, after 5 PM, and/or on weekends and holidays.
Valid driver's license.
Acceptable driving record meeting company policies and insurance company guidelines.
Read, speak, and comprehend English.
Professional in appearance and behavior.
