We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual to drive sales of our product line including ContraPest®, a U.S.-registered fertility-based rodent control product. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this person is responsible for overseeing the sales team, internal and external; identifying and effectively executing commercial sales of ContraPest® nationally with future expansion into international markets; and the ultimate profitability of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing the company’s sales organization, manages the overall sales process and in conjunction with the VP of marketing develops the pricing policies. Oversees the activity of sales associates. Accountable for training the sales organization and developing the sales incentive programs. Leads in-house seminars and workshops to help improve the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team. Works to ensure sales and productivity goals are met.
Oversees daily sales activity, meets with major clients, draws up sales reports, designs new and more effective sales strategies, and works to market and promote company products and services.
Responsible for directing and managing all sales operations. Works to foster lasting relationships with client base. Locates opportunities to expand client base. Networks with prospective clients to persuade them to bring their business to the company. Implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
Sets, develops, implements strategies for new business acquisition and drives the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals. Sets specific quarterly or annual sales goals.
Develops and evaluates national and international sales strategies.
Accountable for tracking what the competitors of the company are doing, and also be aware of pricing, compensation, and distribution.
The VP of Sales coordinates with the Marketing and Business Development Department to establish and direct channel and distribution programs.
Presents information regarding clients and sales at company meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience as a commercial leader in the pest control space.
People management experience preferably with sales professionals.
Requires long hours, extensive travel, and excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing, or Business and seven years of relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Business Administration and minimum five years of relevant experience.
Direct experience in biotech, animal welfare, pest control, or related industry. With demonstrated success in sales and marketing sector.
Experience managing effective sales teams.
MS Office, Adobe, and knowledge of CRM platforms, specifically SalesForce.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The majority of working hours are an office setting, either working independently or meeting with team members and corporate boards in a conference room.
Local and national travel to meet clients and visit satellite locations is also required.
Most work is performed while sitting or standing at a desk with a computer. Ability to lift 35 pounds required. Ability to use standard office equipment including computer, desk or cell phone, copies, and fax machines.

Additional Salary Information: Salary
$115,000 - $150,00 DOE per year, plus sales-based commissions. SenesTech is a publicly-traded company and stock options may also be available as supplemental, performance-based compensation.
