We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual to drive sales of our product line including ContraPest®, a U.S.-registered fertility-based rodent control product. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this person is responsible for generating sales leads; identifying and effectively executing commercial sales of ContraPest® nationally with particular focus on the State of AZ and surrounding southwestern states.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospective customers and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
Sells product by responding to inbound leads, establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
Sells product to outbound clients in Arizona in-person or by phone.
Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
Prepares reports, primarily in SalesForce, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information for each client that is contacted.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in the appropriate professional societies.
Meets sales goals established by COO and VP of Business Development.
Works with the Marketing team to provide client feedback on support collateral needed.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Be able to demonstrate detailed-knowledge of the company’s products and services within a reasonable timeframe of onboarding.
High school diploma and 5 years sales related experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales related experience, or combination thereof.
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; and internal teams.
Demonstrated ability to develop effective client relationships, with successful negotiation and prospecting skills.
Ability to meeting established sales goals, and high-level of comfort with sales planning, and high-motivation for sales; exhibits awareness of best sales practices and methods.
Ability to work independently as part of an established team.
Demonstrates ability to think creatively.
Demonstrated organizational priority-setting skills; attention to detail and follow-through.
Maintains a professional, confident, and outgoing demeanor.
Knowledge of MS Office suite, Adobe, and CRM platforms, specifically SalesForce.
Direct experience in biotech, animal welfare, pest control, or related industry; with demonstrated success in sales and marketing sector a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The majority of working hours are an office setting, either working independently or meeting with team members and corporate boards in a conference room.
Local and national travel to meet clients and visit satellite locations is also required.
Most work is performed while sitting or standing at a desk with a computer. Ability to lift 35 pounds required. Ability to use standard office equipment including computer, desk or cell phone, copies, and fax machines.
Requires long hours, extensive travel, and excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills.

Additional Salary Information: $47,500 - $50,000 DOE per year, plus sales-based commissions. SenesTech is a publicly-traded company and stock options may also be available as supplemental, performance-based compensation.
