The person in this position will be considered a subject matter expert in the safety field. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and monitoring company-wide safety programs. The result of these programs will be a safe and healthy workplace and positive work environment that fosters and promotes a “Safety First” philosophy resulting in keeping accidents and injuries to a minimum.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate, develop, implement and monitor company-wide safety policies and practices that will meet or exceed Federal OSHA, state and local regulations.
Develop corporate safety goals and develop policies and procedures to achieve those goals.
Establish systems and develop metrics to monitor the safety program, measure loss performance, identify loss trends and their causes as well as capture positive trends.
Maintain active communication and assist the Rollins Brands with their respective safety programs to include routinely visiting operational units.
Identify, analyze and report employee, vehicle and environmental risk/loss exposures and their impact on productivity of the company.
Coordinate, develop and facilitate work site safety training programs across the company.
Ensure all accidents are thoroughly and efficiently investigated and reported to the appropriate offices in and outside the Company. Also ensure that any identified corrective actions are implemented across all impacted levels and tracked as needed.
Ensure facility inspections to identify existing or potential health hazards are being completed and reported. Work with and coach appropriate managers and other personnel to proactively develop corrective or preventive measures and conduct follow- ups as needed.
Develop and implement a company-wide safety audit system that will help ensure all safety policies and procedures are being communicated and followed.
Enhance effective working relationships and communication at all levels within the organization. This includes interfacing with senior management and other Company departments so that areas of opportunity can be identified and effective plans put into action with minimum lag time:
Attend, speak and represent the company at national and state association meetings, technical seminars, and other professional meetings
Assist the Marketing and Public Relations departments with programs and publicity opportunities and promotions
Visit business units and meet with management and employees, observe conditions and identify needs
Assist in legal matters and other duties as needed
Thorough understanding of safety regulations established by the EPA, OSHA, DOT and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Clear demonstration of successful interactions on multiple levels within large and diverse organizations.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, organizational and training skills in order to inform and promote a robust safety and health program across both operational and management levels.
Should be highly competent in writing, speaking and computer programs, such as Microsoft Office.
Education: BS in Industrial Hygiene or Other Safety Related Field (MS a plus)
At least five years in safety/loss management experience, preferably across multiple business segments including field operations and corporate levels.
At a minimum, must be a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent or achieve such certification within one year of employment.
Experience in managing vehicle fleet safety issues is desirable.
Chemical industrial hygiene background also a plus.
