The Institute of Agricultural Technology (www.iat.msu.edu) in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Michigan State University (MSU) is seeking candidates to serve as the Assistant Instructor/Instructor for ENT 110 – Applied Entomology of Economic Plants (4-month fixed term system, 100% teaching).
Instructional responsibilities include teaching ENT 110 – Applied Entomology of Economic Plants (3 credits) for the Institute of Agricultural Technology during the Fall 2019 semester. The course will be delivered at Monroe County Community College, Monroe, Michigan. ENT 110 contact hours will be 1 hour lecture, recitation, or discussion per week and 2 hours of lab per week (3 hours of total contact time per week) for 15 weeks of instruction.
The course will provide students with a basic understanding of Entomology. Topics that will cover are:
Bachelors in Entomology or Bachelors in Invertebrate Zoology and/or Ecology with experience in the field of Entomology
Experience in the field of Entomology
Knowledge and skills to develop teach resources in Entomology
Excellent oral and written communication skills
M.S. in Entomology or Ph.D. in Entomology
Experience in development and assessment of learning outcomes
Undergraduate teaching experience and a passion for teaching
